BLACK 2: BROADWAY

On March 10th, 2002, B2: Productions launched "BLACK 2: BROADWAY" at B.B. King's Blues Club in Times Square, New York. Our events have featured performances by artist such as:

Savion Glover | Lillias White | Melba Moore | Billy Porter | BJ Crosby | Marva Hicks | Malik Yoba | Shirley Murdock | Kecia Lewis Evans | April Nixon | Alyson Williams | Alton Fitzgerald White | Phylicia Rashad with the Broadway Inspirational Voices and Ledisi.

Black 2: Broadway is a model for our signature events. Slightly modified particular market needs and strength in each city (e.g. Black 2: Motown will be the Detroit based event and will focus on the R&B Recording community in that city).

Black 2: Broadway is a monthly, professionally produced variety show designed to spotlight and honor veteran Broadway Performers of Color within a formulated, professionally produced variety show format.

Black 2: Broadway features a 4 piece professional band, 3 professional background vocalist, state of the art sound and lighting design, a warm-up act, and professional M/C.

As part of each evening, Black 2: Broadway will also introduce one new "Up and Coming" artist who will perform one song. The show itself has the same format month to month to provide the audience with a consistent, high quality experience.
